Getting Closer to The Chinese Electron Microscopy Community

The Shanghai Winner team.

A 3-minute read

Shanghai Winner International Trading CO. LTD and DECTRIS Ltd. sign a distribution agreement for DECTRIS hybrid-pixel electron-counting detectors in China.

Science and technology know no borders! However, there are some barriers. One of them is the language, another is distance. At DECTRIS, we have always tried our best to overcome these hurdles, from opening sales and support offices in the USA and Japan to seeking partnerships with local distributors.

We are proud to have gained a new partner, Shanghai Winner International Trading (上海微纳国际贸易有限公司), to help us bring our hybrid-pixel electron-counting detectors to electron microscopy laboratories in the P.R. China. In the scope of a non-exclusive distribution agreement, the team in Shanghai will facilitate the sales of DECTRIS electron detectors (ARINA, ELA, SINGLA, and QUADRO) and assist in the first-level customer support and installations.

“The whole Shanghai Winner team is so excited to start the cooperation with DECTRIS. We believe both DECTRIS and Shanghai Winner will benefit from this tight cooperation. Shanghai Winner is committed to providing the best products and services to Chinese electron microscopy customers. We believe DECTRIS’ products will greatly support the 4D STEM and structural biology research by Chinese scientists,” said Michael Heng, the CEO of Shanghai Winner.

“It is of paramount importance for us at DECTRIS to have the support of the skillful and knowledgeable team of Shanghai Winner. Together, we will enable new science in China. Through geographical and cultural proximity will be delivering more than just a detector, but a full spectrum of services, from the consultancy on the best fit for the user to installation and maintenance support, fast and convenient. Together we provide the best possible detection experience,” said Dr. Clemens Schulze-Briese, CSO of DECTRIS.
