High Modularity

In addition to the MYTHEN2 detector system’s outstanding performance, its modularity is yet another remarkable feature. The newly designed Detector Control System, DCS4, allows up to four MYTHEN2 modules to be simultaneously operated. The wide angular coverage of such multi-module detector systems is ideally suited to capturing phase transitions and collecting complete powder diffraction patterns from radiation sensitive samples prior to the onset of damage.
